Hill-Roberts PTO

Yes, volunteering takes time, energy, and sometimes, money. It can be hard work but when you look at it as rewarding work, you’re perception changes. Volunteering can find us doing and seeing new things, which can be challenging and even a little scary.
So why do people volunteer?
The answer is simple; it’s medically proven to be good for you!
We live is a busy world and we all have excuses as to why we don’t volunteer, but there is truth behind the fact that volunteering is good for your heart.
Volunteering can make a difference where someone’s life and for Hill-Roberts, your efforts and assistance is directly benefitting your child. There’s no greater gift, then the smile you get when your child sees you at their school. You immediately become the “COOL PARENT” – what an amazing title!
By volunteering our time and talents, we help make Hill-Roberts a better, happier place where students are happy and they are flourishing. You are take credit for that happiness.
Maybe you’re thinking, "What's in it for me?" The answer is, plenty! The list is endless, but here are just a few examples:
-
You can make new friends

-
You can fight boredom
-
You are spending time doing what you really care about
-
You feel like you're part of a community
-
And you’ll have fun!
People who become volunteers usually lead richer, happier, and more satisfying lives than those who don't volunteer. In the end, volunteering is good for the heart and we can guarantee, that even though the word is hard, the rewards outweigh the work.
